Daan Go Cake Lab

From a young age, Christopher was drawn to the kitchen, inspired by a birthday cheesecake his father made. Determined to bring joy to others through baking, he dreamed of opening his own bakery. While studying in the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the University of Toronto, he competed on MasterChef Canada Season 2, finishing in 5th place. Undeterred, he completed his degree, worked in pharmacy, and saved up to launch his first pastry shop, DaanGo Cake Lab, blending Asian heritage with creative desserts. He has since opened five locations across Toronto and Vancouver.

In 2019, Christopher returned to win MasterChef Canada: Back to Win, and also earned the title of “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” from the Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs. His culinary ventures include the modern French patisserie Pâtisserie Fleur, with creations featured in top wedding, food, and lifestyle publications. He has competed in events like the Miele Culinary Challenge and Kam Cha Wong Milk Tea Competition, and most recently appeared on Recipe for Disaster on The CW. Christopher continues to share his entrepreneurial journey through public speaking and media appearances.
