What is a Third-Party Fundraiser?
A third-party fundraiser is an independent event organized by individuals, community groups, businesses, or organizations to benefit the Chinese Canadian Museum. This is more than just an event, it’s an opportunity to honour the past and inspire the future.
Why Support CCM?
By fundraising for the museum, you help preserve and share the rich stories of Chinese Canadians — strengthening cultural understanding and bridging communities across generations. Your efforts ensure these narratives remain vibrant and accessible for years to come.
How It Works
To ensure your event aligns with our mission, all organizers must:
- Clearly state CCM as the beneficiary in all communications.
- Cover all event costs, including permits, licenses, and insurance.
- Submit promotional materials for review before distribution.
- Forward net proceeds within 30 days
How we support you
While we cannot co-host or fund your event, we’re happy to:
- Provide a beneficiary acknowledgment letter.
- Supply CCM brochures and educational materials.
- Offer branding and logo guidelines (upon approval).
- Recognize your contribution publicly (where possible).
- Answer questions to help you plan a successful event.
Things to keep in mind
- CCM is not able to co-host or financially support events.
- Organizers are responsible for permits, insurance, and legal requirements.
