
Jonathan Lai
Born and raised in Vancouver, Jonathan oversees the development and construction of his family’s residential and commercial real estate investment portfolio within Metro Vancouver. He is a graduate of the Villanova University School of Business, and completed BCIT’s certificate program in Architectural & Building Technology.
He is a past Director on the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation Board, a charitable organization responsible for raising funds for immigrant settlement and community services, and past co-chair for the 2015 Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala. He was also the Past Chair of the St. Paul’s Foundation Future Leaders Group, and was on the Foundation’s Campaign Executive Committee, which spearheaded the fundraising efforts for the new St. Paul’s Hospital Campaign. He was also a past member of the Archdiocese of Vancouver’s Catholic Charities Advisory Board, which manages the Men’s Hostel and The Door is Open shelters.
Jonathan has also developed a serious passion for wine, which has led him to become the Treasurer of the Canadian Association of Professional Sommelier’s B.C. Chapter. For the past 15 years, he has been a volunteer for the Vancouver International Wine Festival, one of Canada’s premier food & wine event, and currently a member of their Gala Committee, which fundraises for Bard on the Beach.
