Join us for a day of guided tours and artmaking, all on us.

Enjoy a day of complimentary programming exclusively for seniors (age 65+). Take a guided tour of our current exhibitions in Cantonese, English, or Mandarin and be immersed in Chinese Canadian history, pop culture, and athletic milestones.

Then, take part in a special artmaking workshop led by the artist collective Bagua Artist Association. Drawing on their featured artwork in Dream Factory: Cantopop Mandopop 1980s-2000, 《萬水千山總是情》Across Endless Waters and Mountains, Sentiments Persist, this drop-in workshop invites participants to reflect on the music and soundscapes of diaspora to create a personalized mixed-media record cover. Participants also have the opportunity to sing karaoke!

Please note that registration is required for all programs and space is limited. Program registration includes all material costs and all-day museum admission. Register now!

Chinese Canadian Museum Bagua Artist Association

Bagua Artist Association

Bagua Artist Association is an artist duo — Katharine Meng-Yuan Yi and Sean Cao — based in Vancouver, Canada. Formed in 2018, their multidisciplinary practice draws on their shared experience as first-generation immigrant settlers, exploring popular culture, folk arts, and everyday life through a migratory lens.

Their work centers contemporary Chinese diaspora discourse, reimagining traditions and cultural phenomena through research-based, socially engaged art.
