Vina Su
Vina is the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator at the Chinese Canadian Museum. Born and raised in Vancouver, Vina is 5th generation Chinese-Canadian, as her great-great-grandfather Su came to Canada from Guangdong, China, to construct the Canadian Pacific Railway. Vina has ancestral ties with Vancouver Chinatown and Pong Woo, Poon Yue.
Vina grew up in the suburbs, but her parents insisted she speak Cantonese at home, and she learned Mandarin in weekly Chinese school classes to preserve the Chinese culture and language. She began her marketing journey in high school through volunteering for non-profits, and has since gained marketing work experience in education, tech, and manufacturing. As a commerce graduate from the University of British Columbia with a background in visual arts, Vina is thrilled to use her knowledge in marketing, business, and arts to promote a greater cause.
Outside of work, Vina is a freelance photographer and piano player, and enjoys doing art in her spare time.
