July 21-25 or August 11-15, 2025
Who
This camp is designed for children aged 8-12.
What to expect:
Each week-long camp blends art, performance, and storytelling with hands-on activities in our current exhibitions and field trips to iconic Chinatown landmarks.
Camp highlights include:
Art-making and brocade textile crafts inspired by traditional Chinese art and designs
Exposure to Chinese language and characters
Hands-on experience in museum interpretation – campers can choose to give either a short public tour or karaoke performance!
Field trips to iconic Chinatown landmarks and organizations
A personalized digital album for each camper on "What Chinatown Means to Me"
By the end of the week, campers will:
Build a deeper appreciation for Chinatown’s vibrant culture
Explore and express their Chinese Canadian or cultural identity
Create meaningful connections with their community and peers
Please note:
This program will run in English. Facilitators and volunteers will have varying degrees of Cantonese and Mandarin language
Lunch is not provided
We cannot provide personal care, administer medication, or provide one-to-one assistance on an ongoing basis
Registration
Priority registration is available for CCM Annual Pass Holders until Thursday, June 12, 2025. General registration will open on Friday, June 13, 2025.
