Explore Chinatown, inspire creativity, and build cultural connections this summer at our engaging week-long day camps designed for curious and creative young minds! 

Hosted by the Chinese Canadian Museum, this immersive experience invites children to discover the heart of Vancouver’s Chinatown—and their own cultural identity—through storytelling, art, performance, and community-based adventures. 

Registration is open to children aged 8-12. Spots are limited, so register today!

Who

This camp is designed for children aged 8-12.

What to expect:

Each week-long camp blends art, performance, and storytelling with hands-on activities in our current exhibitions and field trips to iconic Chinatown landmarks.

Camp highlights include:

  • Art-making and brocade textile crafts inspired by traditional Chinese art and designs

  • Exposure to Chinese language and characters

  • Hands-on experience in museum interpretation – campers can choose to give either a short public tour or karaoke performance!

  • Field trips to iconic Chinatown landmarks and organizations

  • A personalized digital album for each camper on "What Chinatown Means to Me"

By the end of the week, campers will:

  • Build a deeper appreciation for Chinatown’s vibrant culture

  • Explore and express their Chinese Canadian or cultural identity

  • Create meaningful connections with their community and peers

Please note:

  • This program will run in English. Facilitators and volunteers will have varying degrees of Cantonese and Mandarin language 

  • Lunch is not provided

  • We cannot provide personal care, administer medication, or provide one-to-one assistance on an ongoing basis

Priority registration is available for CCM Annual Pass Holders until Thursday, June 12, 2025. General registration will open on Friday, June 13, 2025.
