Dr. Zoe Lam is a Lecturer in Cantonese Language and Culture in the Department of Asian Studies at the University of British Columbia. Trained as a linguist, her research focuses on multilingualism and heritage language maintenance. Committed to knowledge mobilization, she collaborates closely with community organizations and previously served as the instructor of a Cantonese Saturday School at the historic Mon Keang School in Vancouver’s Chinatown. Zoe regularly shares her Cantonese-related academic and community work through local and international media outlets.
