Chinese Canadian Museum has won the Greater Vancouver Vibrancy Award at the 2026 Business Distinction Awards, hosted by Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.
The award celebrates and showcases the outstanding contributions of businesses that enrich the cultural fabric of the region, promote diversity and inclusion, and contribute to its overall vibrancy and livability.
This year has been a significant one. In June, the museum opened Momentum: Power and Identity in Sports. In October, it welcomed the Canadian premiere of Asian Comics: Evolution of an Art Form, developed by the Barbican Centre in London, featuring more than 400 works and a new section, Diaspora Stories, spotlighting Chinese Canadian artists and authors.
The museum also recently partnered with Wonton Mama at Fairmont Vancouver Airport to bring CCM: The Gallery Lounge to a new audience beyond Vancouver’s Chinatown.
From visitors and volunteers to donors, partners, and community members who have shared their time and support, each has played a role in making the museum what it is today.
The museum is grateful for the recognition from the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, and to the many who continue to support its work. It’s especially meaningful for our team to be recognized alongside so many outstanding organizations, including our fellow nominees Fantuan and Beatdapp.
