Welcome Our Newest Board Member: C.J. James

We’re thrilled to welcome C.J. James to the Chinese Canadian Museum’s Board of Directors!

C.J. James retired as a Partner at KPMG in 2025, following a 31-year career at the firm. At KPMG, she held progressively senior leadership positions, and served a diverse group of public sector and not-for-profit clients. Her tenure culminated in dual roles as KPMG’s National Education Sector Leader and BC Industry Leader for Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare. She brought strategic foresight and a collaborative style to these leadership roles. C.J. has also been a valued audit practitioner and contributor to accounting standard-setting in Canada, having served as a member of CPA Canada’s Public Sector Accounting Board. She mentored future CPAs and upheld the highest standards of professional practice.

C.J. is dedicated to supporting non-profits and public institutions, focusing on balancing stakeholder needs to ensure resources deliver the greatest community impact. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of British Columbia and has been awarded Fellowship by the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC.
