Janice Wu is a visual artist and freelance illustrator based on the unceded territories of the Qayqayt First Nations, also known as New Westminster. As a second generation Chinese Canadian and a child of immigrants, a large majority of her work addresses cultural belonging, family history, and the diasporic experience. Some of her illustration clients include the Canada Post, Globe & Mail, The Walrus, New York Magazine, Lancôme, Urban Outfitters, Arsenal Pulp Press, and Harper Collins. Her preferred mediums are pencil, gouache and paper.
