Fête Chinoise Launches ‘Love at Mid-Autumn’ 2025: A cultural project in support of the Chinese Canadian Museum

With support for the Chinese Canadian Museum, the Toronto-based Fête Chinoise proudly launches the 5th annual ‘Love at Mid-Autumn’ campaign, a cultural project that honours Chinese heritage and tradition through meaningful storytelling, artistic design, and philanthropy in Canada. It will be a milestone year of new programming, with a special theme of Collective Memory through Childhood Lanterns.

Each year, the limited-edition mooncake gift set is designed to inspire nostalgia while celebrating identity and community. The 2025 set includes:

  • A limited edition collector’s tin, designed by Palettera

  • 4 full-sized heart-shaped mooncakes baked by Saint Germain, made in Canada

  • The 2025 of the Fête Chinoise Design Annual

  • Special offers from our sponsors and partners

  • A brochure that doubles as a greeting card, with space to write a message

  • All presented in a luxurious paper gift bag

The 2025 design honours memories of childhood lanterns, drawing inspiration from personal photographs shared by the Fête Chinoise community. These lanterns symbolize warmth, hope, and the joyful spirit of Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. Hand-coloured with raw pencil crayons on a crisp white backdrop, the artwork blends nostalgia with a fresh contemporary style.

In this 5th year of Love at Mid-Autumn, Fête Chinoise is excited to announce the expansion of the campaign, to share the joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival across Canada. This year’s programming includes a brand new National Colouring and Art Competition, launching in July and an elevated Community Event to welcome all families and generations, scheduled for September 27th, 2025.

Since 2021, the ‘Love at Mid-Autumn’ campaign has raised and donated over $218,800 in net proceeds for Canadian charities, including Markham Stouffville Hospital, SickKids Foundation, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab Hospital, and the Scarborough Health Network.

For 2025, all of the net proceeds from mooncake gift set sales will support the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Chinese Canadian Museum, and the Fête Chinoise Cultural Foundation.

Keepsake mooncake gift sets are available now at www.loveatmidautumn.ca on a first-come, first-served basis. The mooncakes will also be at the museum's new retail store, 1889 Trading Co. at a future date.

Donations to the Fête Chinoise Cultural Foundation made between May 2025 and Mid-Autumn (October 6, 2025) will be distributed directly to the three featured charitable organizations.

Toronto Symphony Orchestra
Reaching young people and developing enriching educational initiatives has been a part of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s core programming for nearly its entire history, with the first children’s concert performed at Massey Hall in 1925 and the establishment of the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra in 1973. The TSO is incredibly proud of its expansive music education offerings, which have grown to reflect the needs of our community and almost 40,000 students annually.
