Din Tai Fung named as Supporting Partner for new exhibition

As the Chinese Canadian Museum prepares to launch our feature exhibition "Dream Factory: Cantopop Mandopop 1980s–2000", we are delighted and honoured to have Din Tai Fung as a Supporting Partner, as they open their first Canadian restaurant in the heart of Vancouver.
On May 5, 2025, the museum was delighted to attend the grand opening of the restaurant — where Din Tai Fung unveiled a special cultural gift in partnership with the Chinese Canadian Museum.
To commemorate this opening, Din Tai Fung partnered with Yu Chung Ling — the son of renowned calligrapher Yu Youren, who created the original calligraphy that became the brand’s first emblem in Taiwan. Mr. Yu has created two original calligraphy works inspired by a phrase that speaks to “establishing purpose for the people.”
One will be displayed in the restaurant, and the second — offered as a gift to the City of Vancouver — will become part of the Chinese Canadian Museum, as a tribute to shared cultural heritage and the brand’s Canadian debut.
The first 50 guests in line also received tickets for a complimentary visit to the museum.
We're incredibly grateful to Din Tai Fung for supporting our feature exhibition, and we look forward to work together in honouring shared culture and community!
