Vancouver, BC (May 26, 2021) – The Chinese Canadian Museum has launched its new logo with the premiere of its new video “Soul”.
The video reveals the essence of the museum and its aspiration to tell the stories, experiences, and contributions of Chinese Canadians in BC and throughout Canada. The logo, featuring multicoloured lines traversing a globe, speaks to the rich cultural experiences from the past, and foretells a bold multifaceted future in which the museum seeks to pursue new horizons for cultural understanding and social possibility. The logo’s shape resembles peonies, paper lanterns, and mandarin oranges – traditional reflections of Chinese culture, yet its abstraction also embodies social embrace, connecting communities across the province, the country, and the world.
